Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir performs at Barnes & Noble

Overview: 2010-2011 Season

It is a delight to announce the 2010-2011 season for Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir.  We have a tremendous year of concerts and events that begin in early November with Beethoven’s C major Mass in collaboration with the Newburgh Symphony Orchestra and the ever-popular A Service of Lessons and Carols at Vassar College in December.  In January, we perform stunning music of Renaissance masters, Palestrina and Victoria, as well as new works by British composers Bob Chilcott and Tarik O’Regan.  We bring the season to a close by highlighting organist James Fitzwilliam on the Gress-Miles organ at Vassar College performing Laudes Organi by Zoltan Kodaly, and Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Missa Brevis in D.
We hope you will join the Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir for this exciting year of incredible music

Christine R. Howlett, Artistic Director

The Cappella Festiva Chamber Women and the Treble Choir will join together to perform Britten’s sublime Missa Brevis in D, as well as other selections.
