The Cappella Festiva Treble Choir Celebrates it's Fifth Year in 2010!

Under the direction of Susan Bialek, the Cappella Festiva Treble Choir provides an exceptional artistic opportunity for young singers (boys and girls) of the Hudson Valley through education in vocal training, musicianship skills, and the exploration of challenging, diverse repertoire for treble voices, ages ten to seventeen. This ensemble collaborates with the Cappella Festiva Adult Chamber Choir and orchestra on a yearly basis. Acceptance into the Treble Choir is through a choral interview. The fee is $300 for the 2009-2010 season (includes music). Financial aid forms are available upon request. Rehearsals will be held at Vassar College in the Chapel Choir Room on Mondays from 5:45-7:15 p.m.

Choral Interviews:

A choral interview is a relaxed, friendly audition in which the director will talk to the singer and listen to him/her sing a short song. "Happy Birthday" or "My country tis of thee" are appropriate pieces to sing. We are looking for participants who love to sing, who have good pitch and rhythm, and who will be committed and focused during rehearsals.
