Celebrating Our 10th Anniversary Season!
Cor Capriccio and the Boys & Girls Club Chorus collaborated on their January 31st concert
The Cor Capriccio Children’s Choir (grades 2 - 5) invites young singers to explore music from around the world under the inspiring direction of Elizabeth Clifton, early childhood music specialist. Young singers build skills, confidence and creativity – singing in multiple languages, connecting with text and music, and making new friends.
Cor Capriccio offers many benefits to the young singer. Each week, they exercise their bodies and minds as well as their voices. They learn songs to sing but also develop a deeper understanding of tonality, rhythm, musical form, dynamics, and general musicianship. They play singing games and learn to communicate the meaning of a song as well as the notes on a page. While they sing, they work on important skills such as teamwork and self-discipline.
Tuition is $200 per semester or $400 for the entire year from September through May. Installment payments can be arranged. Also, financial assistance is available, email cappellafestiva@gmail.com for more information. All financial assistance inquiries will be kept confidential.
Schedule: Our choir season runs from September to May. Rehearsals take place at St. John's Lutheran Church at 55 Wilbur Blvd, Poughkeepsie every Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.
Cor Capriccio performed at the Mid-Hudson Discovery Museum in Poughkeepsie, and sang songs celebrating science.
Cor Capriccio performed at the Lessons & Carols service at the Vassar Chapel.
