Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir

Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir
has garnered a reputation throughout the Hudson Valley for producing creative, high-quality concerts of compelling classical music.  What started as a small group of distinguished musicians who wished to perform the music of Johann Sebastian Bach has become a stunning choir performing an eclectic musical repertoire, often collaborating with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and other fine area musicians.

This is an auditioned ensemble under the baton of Dr. Christine Howlett. Cappella  normally rehearses Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Vassar College Chapel. However, under Covid19 pandemic precautions, we will meet virtually on Mondays instead. We invite you to send an email to admin@cappellafestiva.org or call 845-853-7765 for a virtual audition appointment. It is expected and understood that members will commit to singing in both fall and spring programs. If you have sung with Cappella previously but did not sing with us this past season, you will need to audition. The audition will consist of some vocalizing and sight-reading.

Members of the Cappella Festiva Chamber Choir pay $125 per year to participate in the ensemble. Music is borrowed with the option to purchase.
